It is designed to be used overnight and is the sister product of Fat Girl Slim, which is for daytime use. It claims to work while you’re sleeping to reduce the appearance of cellulite and to make your skin softer, smoother and more toned. The company has an upbeat, amusing style of marketing and its products are pitched mainly to younger women. Using the product every night and the sister product through the day should show results in two months.
How does Fat Girl Sleep Work?
The main ingredients in Fat Girl Sleep are red algae extract, lotus extract and lavender. These ingredients are said to help the body break down excess fat cells deposited around the body and reduce inflammation in the skin. Circulation is also improved which is said to help to make the skin far less dimpled and rough also. The lavender is a well known aromatherapy ingredient which relaxes and induces sleep, so the scent of the product should help you drift off to sleep while the other active ingredients get to work on your cellulite. There is however no information on the company’s website about exactly how the product works and how it is supposed to break down the fat cells and improve the condition of the skin. There is no scientific data or clinical trials, and as such it’s almost impossible to make an informed judgment about whether the product will work on your cellulite or not. Reviews of the product posted on the internet are mostly favorable, but focus on the fact that the product has a nice smell and makes your skin softer and more moisturized, which could be said for most moisturizing creams if used regularly.
